Supporting Fundraisers
Sky supports its people in their fundraising activities by adding cash to the total amount they raise. Sky will match, pound for pound, the amount employees raise, up to £300, or £600 if they're fundraising for Sky's charity partner Global Action Plan (This link will open in a new window)
Sky people get: Support for fundraising and a boost to the money they raise.
Sky gets: The chance to make another positive difference to the community.
Charities get: A great cash top up.
It's easy for Sky employees to get match funding. All they need to do is raise at least £100 from a sponsored fundraising event, such as a walk or skydive. Then, donate the funds to the charity and Sky will match it.
Sky's employee website also allows employees to create a fundraising page so that friends and colleagues can pledge donations on-line.
Looking beyond our own community
We not only encourage and support our employees, but we continually find ways to help our customers to make a contribution to global communities. We work with the Disasters Emergency Committee and the British Red Cross to help the public and our people donate to international and national appeals, such as the Sky News Darfur Crisis Appeal in 2007.
