Who are our partners?

Here at Sky we partner with a number of local and national charities, to deliver rewarding volunteering experiences to our employees.

Our Arts volunteering partners

Gig-Arts - works with aspiring students in the arts to give them real skills to promote and sell their work after leaving university. Sky volunteers help them to put on their ‘gig’s’ at several different University’s each year, giving their time and experience to coach the students in skills like interview techniques and presentation, helping them to achieve success in their future careers.

Art in the Park - is a London based charity who work with schools and businesses to create public pieces of art. Sky volunteers have worked with them in local Hounslow schools as well as a number of projects at the West Middlesex hospital.

Our Sport volunteering partners

Street League - Street League is a charity that operates in London and Glasgow, helping people from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in football coaching to build confidence and gain skills on their education programmes to help them back into work. Sky volunteers regularly help them to run their monthly football match days as well as participating in their education workshops such as interview techniques and CV building.

Cricket for Change - is a charity that engages with young disabled and disadvantaged people in London, using cricket as the mechanism to help them build confidence and self esteem. Sky volunteers work with them to run their inter-county disability cricket tournaments as well as helping them to create promotional films to raise awareness of their work.

Our Environment volunteering partners

Global Action Plan - work across the UK to raise awareness of climate change and help show people how they can take small steps everyday to minimise their environmental impact. Sky sends volunteers out to their Evergreen programme in Scotland, where they work with elderly housing association residents on a range of green projects like building raised vegetable beds and installing energy meters.

BTCV - has 50 years experience in conservation volunteering across the UK and have a number of volunteering projects that Sky volunteers participate in. We have sent volunteers out with BTCV in England, Scotland and Wales, working on a wide range of conservation projects.

New Caledonian Woodlands - is a Scottish charity that looks to address climate change by undertaking conservation projects with various social groups. Sky are working with them in the West Lothian area of Scotland, to re-create areas of woodland and open up green spaces for people to enjoy the outdoors.

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust - are responsible for the green spaces and coastal pathways in Fife, Scotland. Sky are currently sending volunteers out with them in Townhill Park Dunfermline, to work with local school children to design and create a nature trail.

Trees for Cities - work in a number of cities across the UK with a mission to re-plant urban areas with trees. Sky have worked with them on a number of projects in London, with volunteers planting thousands of new trees.

Thrive - are based in Battersea Park, London and run several ‘horticulture therapy’ sessions for people with health and behaviour issues. Sky is sending volunteers out to work with them on a number of garden projects in the park to ensure that their users can continue to benefit from their services.

Edinburgh Cyrenians Farm - is an organic farm in Edinburgh that supports homeless people in the area, helping them gain skills that could get them into work. Sky volunteers regularly help out, doing a number of tasks from fruit picking, to hedge laying to ensure that the site continues to be a working farm.

Our Responsibility volunteering partners

Thomas Pocklington Trust - Has centres throughout England Wales that support blind and visually impaired people. Sky volunteers have working in Stourbridge and Plymouth, helping residents to create sensory gardens and raised vegetable beds, ensuring that they can enjoy the outdoor spaces.
