On 9th, 10th and 11th of December 2009 Sky News was broadcast live from the Amazon rainforest. WWF Brazil staff and our very own Robin Clegg from the press team organised the trip as part of Sky’s coverage of the Copenhagen climate talks. The news coverage focused on the issue of reducing emissions from deforestation including how WWF is working with local communities and the local government in the state of Acre to help protect their forests. Over the three days there were several broadcasts and also a 30 minute programme, hosted live from the Amazon, which was shown at 7pm each day.
